Welcome!
As a bachelor-student and student assisstant i am currently occupied with the translation of teaching material on Quantum GIS into the wiki format. Comments, ideas and questions can be written to my Talkpage!
Below, you can see an overview on my current and finished plans and tasks, which i first of all typed down for my own organization, but might also give you a hint of what has to be -and will be- improved in the QGIS tutorial in the future.

My to-do list for the QGIS tutorial

Translate the “Remote sensing with open source software” script into wiki - Update, correct and adapt the articles to the wiki structure
Link Dead-end pages- Work through the last chapter Category: Change detection
- Practically check the current state of GPS integration
- If necessary, update the GPS related articles
- Imply google function
- create a predefined collection in order to print all articles of the tutorial in correct sequence
