Photogrammetry is the remote measurement of 3-Dimensional objects by acquisition of two or more photographs Photogrammetric methods may be divided into metric and interpretative approaches, which of course may intersect within a project[1].
- Metric: Actual variables of an object are measured, such as elevation or volume.
- Interpretative: Information on object properties is gathered, such as tree species,
health, age or spatial position related to other objects. This may be
realized by means of stereoscopy.
