Installation of Monteverdi2

Detailed instruction on how to install Monteverdi 2-0.6.0 and the whole Orfeo ToolBox suite either from binary packages or from source on different operating systems are available on the official Orfeo ToolBox homepage.

Windows XP/Vista/7/8

1. Downlod the installation file of Monteverdi version 2-0.6.0 for Windows: http://sourceforge.net/projects/orfeo-toolbox/files/Monteverdi2/Monteverdi2-0.6/Monteverdi2-0.6-win32.exe
2. Double click the downloaded file and follow the instructions of the installation assistent.

After the installation is finished

Start the program Start > All Programs > Monteverdi2-0.6.0 > Monteverdi2

During the first start-up Monteverdi requires to specify a location where temporary files are stored. Accept the default directory or choose another location.

Folder path

Note, make sure that this folder name and other folder names where you store your geodata do not show any blanks, special characters or accented letters!

MacOS X

For Mac users OTB is available through:

1. MacPorts software
2. Mac homebrew formula
3. DMG image disk are also available for Monteverdi 1&2
