  2. After clicking Add, Close the selection window..
  3. Right click the layer name in the Layers Panel and select Properties --> Information. Report on the spatial reference system, size of the image in pixels (Width = columns and Height = rows), Pixel size and if a specific No-Data value is assigned.
  4. Choose Properties --> Information QGIS 2.0 metadata info.png. In the "properties" window scroll down and have a look on univariate descriptive statistics such as minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation. If band statistics are not shown go to Properties --> Histogram and click Compute Histogram. Click OK to close the application.
  5. Report on:
    • Pixel size
    • Columns
    • Rows
    • Data type
    • Layer spatial reference system
    • Layer extent (Xmin, Ymin, Xmax, Ymax)
