Relascope units in the mirror relascope. The units are on a micro scale which adjusts automatically to slope; that is, the scale becomes more and more narrower with increasing deviation from the horizontal. By that construction principle it is guaranteed that one relascope unit corresponds to exactly the same absolute distance value at any height of the tree.
