Photogrammetry is the remote measurement of 3-Dimensional objects by acquisition of two or more photographs[1]. Photogrammetric methods may be divided into metric and interpretative approaches.
Metric
Actual variables of an object are measured, such as elevation or volume.
Interpretative
Information on object properties is gathered, such as tree species, health, age or spatial position related to other objects. This may be realized by means of stereoscopy.
